GradGov Professional Development Grant
Purpose:
GradGov is now accepting applications for Professional Development grants. We will be offering grants up to $500 each to support the professional development of graduate students at Georgetown University. Award money may be used for activities such as:

Review and Award Process:
Completed applications received by the deadline will be reviewed by a committee comprised of GradGov representatives. Applications will be ranked on the basis of justification, impact, uniqueness, and clarity of budget. Priority will be given to students who are nearing the end of their program (one year away from graduation or less). All applicants will be notified via their Georgetown email address. Awards will be processed through Accounts Payable and paid directly to recipients in accordance with University policies.

- attendance or presentation of work at academic or professionally-oriented conferences, including travel costs
- relevant training courses or workshops
- relevant software or journal subscriptions
- other approved opportunities that foster professional development and networking
About the Award:
- award may provide partial or full amount depending upon the anticipated costs
- grants cannot be distributed as a cash advance or reimbursement
Eligibility:
- Graduate students from the following Schools may apply: 1) Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, 2) Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, 3) McDonough School of Business, 4) School of Nursing & School of Health, 5) McCourt School of Public Policy, 6) School of Continuing Studies, and 7) Biomedical Graduate Education within Georgetown University Medical Center and covered under the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
- Professional development activities must occur within the Spring/Summer semesters. If a student graduates in May, they may only apply for opportunities that fall within the Spring semester.
Application:
- All materials should be submitted via the GradGov Professional Development Grant Form by March 10, 2023.
- Updated CV or resume
- Statement of no more than 500 words on how this grant will advance your professional development
- A budget of anticipated costs
- Proof of costs, such as screenshots, are highly encouraged
