Welcome to GradGov, Georgetown University’s Graduate Student Government. We’re the official voice of main-campus graduate students and are excited to serve the Georgetown community for the upcoming 2020 school year.
Whether it’s through advocacy, facilitating student groups, or planning graduate school-wide events, GradGov is a democratic institution that works to include Georgetown's growing graduate student population within all university processes and functions. We’re here to enrich your graduate experience, and ensure that student voices are heard at the highest level of Georgetown administration. This year we’re looking to bolster transportation access for graduate students, explore collaboration with the GU272 initiative, and expand opportunities and incentives for graduate volunteering off-campus.
GradGov is led by the Executive Board, consisting of a President, Vice President, and eight Operational Directors. All graduate schools and programs are represented within GradGov’s legislature, the General Assembly. In addition, we work with graduate students, administrators, and the leaders of student councils to create the President's Council. If you are interested in learning more about our process and organization, take a look under the About Us and Advocacy tab above.
All main-campus graduate students are members of GradGov, and are eligible to become members of the Executive Board, the General Assembly, or the President's Council. Numerous opportunities for engagement exist within our working groups, committees, and councils. If you’re looking for ways to get involved, have an issue you’d like us to advocate on, or have any further questions please reach out to us here.
I look forward to seeing you around campus!
