GradGov Thesis & Dissertation Boot Camps
Are you looking to make serious progress on your dissertation? Would you like to write in an environment that provides you with the people and resources to ensure your best work? If so, the Dissertation & Thesis Boot Camp may be perfect for you!
Each year, the Graduate School Of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate Student Government collaborate to present our Dissertation & Thesis Boot Camp. These activities are held during Spring Break, early summer, and late summer. We have yet to plan precise dates for the summer Boot Camps, but check back in late Fall or early Spring to find out more.
During Boot Camp, you’ll meet with faculty and other writing experts to discuss productivity tips, share your experiences with other graduate students, and, most of all, write every day from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. In addition, your boot camp instructors will be able to provide one-on-one writing consultations. On top of that, we'll provide all the food and coffee you'll need to create the best contributions to your dissertation or thesis possible!
Registration is $40. To guarantee that you’ll succeed, we require a $50 deposit, refundable upon your successful completion of the program.
We encourage applicants from master’s programs and from Ph.D. programs on the Main Campus and the Med Center. During the Boot Camp, participants should dedicate their attention to their dissertation or master's thesis.
